Pride & Prejudice Matinee Production & Garden Party

Open Air Theatre Matinee & Garden Party Sunday 25th July 2010

Pride & Prejudice Matinee Production & Garden Party From 1pm

On Sunday 25th July the second Garden Party of the summer will take place with a romantic theme at Belvedere. Chapter House Productions presentation of Pride & Prejudice on the Belvedere House Lawn.

Beginning with a Garden Demonstration with Belvedere Gardner John Smyth who will design a Romantic Rose Garden at 1pm.

From 2.30 pm on the House Lawn The Midland Youth Orchester will entertain you before the 4pm matinee production of Pride and Prejudice outdoor Garden Theatre by the touring Chapterhouse Theatre company.

Strawberries and Cream and jugs of Pimms will be available on the House Lawn for this decadent afternoons entertainment.

Bring your friends and your own picnic and low backed seating.

Normal admission price applies there is no extra charge.

Take a step back in time with Chapterhouse Theatre Company as we meet Elizabeth Bennet and her sisters. Whilst their interfering mother engineers various courtships, sisters Elizabeth and Jane must pursue their own quest for true love. Amongst misunderstandings, mistakes and miscommunications, the two girls must fight for the men they love until Elizabeth can finally surpass her prejudices to see past the proud exterior of the enigmatic Mr Darcy. After all, it is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife…
